A modern and secure desktop application that allows school staff (PTEs) to digitally manage student late arrivals. It includes a secure login system, record marking with reason, email notifications to parents, and analytics visualization.

Technical approach

The system uses CustomTkinter for a modern, hardware-accelerated GUI. It implements a State-based strike policy logic within the SQL transaction layer to prevent student record tampering. Automated parent notifications are handled via a multi-threaded SMTP client to ensure UI responsiveness during email dispatch.
